Off Campuses

The program goal of the Adult-Special Needs Assistance Project (A-SNAP) is to collaborate with community-based organizations (CBO) in meeting the educational needs of adults with disabilities and seniors with disabilities. The purpose of the programs is to promote independence and community living. The areas of focus for seniors with disabilities includes enhancement of quality of life and enabling them to face changes and move beyond their physical liabilities by accepting aging and moving forward with assurance. The adults with disabilities population has as its areas of focus not only quality of life, but also workforce preparation and lifelong learning. The Adult-Special Needs Assistance Project allows the students and their service providers to define the educational needs that will lead to self-sufficiency and improved self-esteem, thereby becoming contributing members of society.
