Web Development: Coming Soon!
Purpose
This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers such as an Assistant Web Designer, a Web Designer, and Senior Web Designer in the Information Technology career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Information Technology career cluster.
Program Content
Instruction includes a combination of classroom theory and practical experience. The curriculum includes:
- Information Technology Assistant
- Web Design Foundations
- Web Interface Design
- Web Scripting
- Web Media Integration
- Web E-commerce
- Web Interactivity
Length of Program
The entire program is 1050, but students can earn a certificate at the completion of any of the following Occupational Completion Points (OCP’s):

- OCP A Information Technology Assistant 150
- OCP B Web Design Foundations 150
- OCP C Web Scripting 150
- OCP D Web Interactivity 150
Minimum basic-skills grade levels required for awarding a full program completion certificate are 9th grade in math, reading, and language on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
